OPENING THE HARBOUR FORESHORE TO OUR COMMUNITY
Platypus Rehabilitation Plan
Malcolm Turnbull’s Government has committed $20 million to open the harbour foreshore to our community at the former submarine base HMAS Platypus at Neutral Bay.
This funding will allow the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust to:
Open up to the public for the first time the Platypus wharf, which will be connected to Kesterton Park by a new
pedestrian footbridge
Restore heritage buildings on the site and include a new café or restaurant
Give the public access to a new park on the site
Build a major new public promenade with spectacular harbour views
Trent Zimmerman has worked with us for years on this project. Thanks to him, it is being delivered.
